I got an email today informing me that this blog made it on the branding section on Alltop.com. The funny thing it was from Guy Kawasaki. He is mainly known for his book “The Art of the Start.” But he also is a columnist for Forbes and played a part in reinventing Apple.
So, in a reply to his email I asked a few questions. Within 10 minutes he got back to me. To my surprise it was Guy. Needless to say I was very impressed. Especially in a day when it is common for admin people at this caliber to have their emails ghost written.
On to the point. Alltop is a one-stop source for segmented information. They call their self an “online magazine rack” In a recent post on Guy K’s blog he had Dan Roam, Author of the The Back of the Napkin do a visual David and Goliath comparison. As you can notice in the pictures Alltop is compared to Google. The value comparison is focusing on filtered news and blog content.
Either way this is a brilliant idea. I love Guy’s realness, approach and passion of his competitive scope.
