Internal Brand Motivation

There are two ways to motive employees:

1. Fear
This way is the most common. The leadership uses consequences in hope the employee will be scared and do their duty better.

Results – Employee becomes lethargic and this approach eventually creates a, us vs. them mentally, which leads to a mediocre workforce that spends most of the time in the classifieds.

2. Vision
This way is rare. The leadership uses a future goal to speak to people’s innate drive to be apart of something bigger, which usually has to do with helping others.

Results – Employees become empowered to creatively engage in the solution and have a sense of purpose and excitement that spreads to the market allowing the brand to accomplish more with less.
