I have to admit I have had a lot of fear of the unknown growing up. I had questions like… “Why was I born? Why wasn’t I born into a wealthy family? Why was I so skinny that people could (and still can) see the ribs in my chest?”
And the most important question I asked was, “what is life about?” We have no choice in being born. We also have no choice in not dieing. If you can’t relate to these questions then disregard what I’m saying. But if you can relate let me share with you.
You are created with a specific purpose! Unfortunately I don’t know what that is, but I can point you to the one who will tell you.
God said, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jer. 29:11)
He has also said, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jer. 29:13)
The insight to this is that God said this, and God can’t lie. Because if He did that would mean He couldn’t be God because the title of God itself means to be perfect.
So, if you seek and ask with authenticity He will answer or you can dismiss this and Him as a liar.
PS. I once cursed God out; yes the F-word was a part of it. I couldn’t get over the fact that God would let this much pain in the world. But what I didn’t realize at the time was that He didn’t want to create robots that love Him because they were forced to. That would not be love but control. Love is offering someone a choice… and proved when the choice is made.
