To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away. (Matthew 25:29-20 NLT)
This verse in the bible makes the assumption that we understand that we are given certain gifts, resources and time for the purpose of using them well.
God is clear about how we should use well what we are given. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21 NLT)
This doesn’t mean God wants us to live in a box in some alley, but He does want us to be strategic and proactive with what we have been given.
We have this short window of life to use our platforms and resources for us or for the purpose of helping others know Jesus Christ, which will help them for eternity.
Close your eyes and imagine all the people that should be in heaven because you… or will be because today you will choose to “use well what you have been given.”
